About us - Blackmoor Garage

Blackmoor garage has been part of the local community since 1936 and we pride ourselves in attention to detail and that personal touch you just don’t get with the big main agents.

We are small enough to care but big enough to cope. At the moment there are two mechanics and myself (Allister). We are in the green area by a good margin in the VOSA risk assessment, this means we have good practice and will not break the MOT rules. We want to pass your vehicle, that said we will draw your attention to anything that may need attention in the future, this is known as pass and advise.

We see so many testing stations that offer cheap MOT’s but you get what you pay for. If we can fix small items such as lights and wipers at the time of test then we normally do at just the cost of the parts and I don’t mean £20 for a side light bulb. I have known it to happen.
